In enterprise networks, it can be used as an access device to provide gigabit to desktop applications; in metropolitan area networks or industry users, it can provide gigabit access to end users or tandem low-end switches down, and up can be aggregated to large-capacity L3 switches through gigabit fiber or link aggregation.
