What is the difference between a fiber optic transceiver and a switch?

A fiber optic transceiver is a device that converts electrical signals in a twisted pair into optical signals, and it is affordable and flexible to use. It can be used in network environments where optical fibers are used to extend transmission distances. Switch (Switch) means “switch” is a network device used for electrical (optical) signal forwarding. It can provide an exclusive electrical signal path for any two network nodes connected to the switch, the most common switch is the Ethernet switch.
